Cacao & Cashew Energy Bites

A perfect afternoon snack to get you through that 3p.m. slump or an after dinner sweet tooth craving. These are so quick and easy to make and only FIVE main ingredients! This recipe makes about 15-20 bites depending on the size you’re wanting to make.

Cacao & Cashew Energy Bites

  • 3/4 banana
  • 1 cup cashews 'salted' and 'non salted' mixed
  • 1 1/2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 12-13 pitted dates
  • 1 plate shredded coconut refill as needed
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chocolate protein *optional* I use sun warrior brand


  1. Add 1 cup cashews to food processor and pulse a few times until cashews are finely chopped. 

  2. Add in dates, banana, raw cacao, and chocolate protein powder to food processor and blend until smooth. You may need to use a spatula to scrape the sides of the processor and help the ingredients blend.  

  3. Refrigerate mixture for at least 1 hour before forming into balls. 

  4. Spread shredded coconut on a plate, or fill a bowl. 

  5. Form the mixture into size of your choice and roll in the shredded coconut making sure all surface area is covered.

  6. Place formed bites into the freezer and enjoy! 

Recipe Notes

Good additions: chia seeds, hemp seeds, chocolate protein powder, or a different kind of nut!
